(or rather, two
of the three are installed .... the sign on Route 11 West - opposite
Wendell Marsh ... requires some additional work to prepare the site
chosen by the NHDOT and will be in place very soon). The signs are
located on Route 11 East, just past Seven Hearths Lane/across from
Dewey Field ... and on Rt. 103-B near Stocker Graniteworks.
A gift of the Beautification Committee to the community, the signs
were a priority on the agenda of Beautification and the Master Plan
committees. This project was accomplished in conjunction with the
Sunapee Road Agent and the NHDOT. Designed and constructed by Peter
Maurer, Sunapee sign maker, they were financed by donations to the BOC
Expendable Trust Fund.

In the Spring, daffodils (a reward earned by the efforts of the
volunteers participating in Sunapee's first annual Green-up Day) will
blossom near each of the signs.
Pictured here, "Friends of the Beautification Committee and the sign
maker gathered for a celebration and photo-op with Dick Katz of the
Intertown Record.
The Beautification Oversight Committee extends our heartfelt
appreciation to all in the community who supported and donated to this
project.
