June 1-14: 52nd Annual Straw Hat Revue - “Something Old, Something New…” - A musical cabaret from seasons past, present and future. Introducing the 2009 Barn Acting Intern Company. Scenery Photography - This intermediate-level workshop with photographer and owner of Portrait Design Photography, Larry Harper, will focus on macro photography; framing and photographing fauna; lighting conditions and setting; proper focusing; and camera settings to get the best picture and composition. Old Garden Renovation Project - 2009 marks the centennial of The Fells first garden designed by Clarence Hay. Known as the Old Garden, this unique space, presenting an integrated juxtaposition of a cultivated garden and the indigenous New Hampshire landscape, has changed character over the years from the original sun-drenched perennial-filled formal axial layout to the cool and semi-shaded area we observe today. Join Fells Landscape Director, Jeff Good, for a Powerpoint presentation and tour through the Old Garden as he discusses its ongoing renovation and master plan to recreate the clean north-south and east-west axes first created in 1909. **More info: www.thefells.org

Bill Wightman & JOSA Ensemble (with horn soloists RICHARD GARDZINA & JEFF HOYT) - The popular “Jazz On a Sunday Afternoon” or JOSA Ensemble features Bill Wightman on keys and vocals, Don Williams on bass and Tim Gilmore on percussion, with Richard Gardzina on multiple saxes and Jeff Hoyt on trumpet. Just finishing their 17th year of sessions that featuring renowned jazz artists from around the country, this evening the ensemble will play popular jazz, funk and blues favorites to kick off Sunapee’s entertainment season.

Dinosaur Exploration - Join Nancy and Glenn Walker as parent and child teams become paleontological detectives. Participants examine fossils and learn how they are exhumed and prepared. Annual Classic & Antique Car Show - Sponsored by the Sunapee Lions Club at Mount Sunapee Resort.  Lots of beautiful cars to look at and your $5 admission includes a FREE chair lift ride courtesy of Mount Sunapee Resort to see the view from the top.  Food, drink and good fun. One of the Lions largest fund raisers to benefit the local charities which the Club supports. $10 to enter a car. **More info: Steve White at 603-763-3111

Visit with the artists, go on a tour and enjoy champagne and a delightful array of accompaniments. Late June gardens are magnificent.
